Helicopter Spins Uncontrollably into Palm Fronds at Frequented Southern California Beach
An aircraft flying near a popular southern California coastline abruptly commenced twirling out of control, ultimately losing altitude and plunging into a row of palm groves as spectators looked on.
Videos posted on social media show the aircraft beginning to twirl over Huntington Beach then descending near the border of the coast, where it becomes wedged among palm groves and a steps close to the coastal road.
First Aid Details
Local firefighters reported five individuals were taken to hospital including two individuals who were in the chopper and were “rescued from the debris” subsequent to the incident on that day.
Three people on the street were harmed. Details on their condition were not yet released.
The reason for the accident was not yet disclosed.
