A Pair of Suspects Accused for Inmate Homicide of Former Lostprophets Frontman Ian Watkins
Two individuals now face murder charges in the wake of the death in prison of one-time Lostprophets vocalist and adjudicated child sex criminal Ian Watkins.
Samuel Dodsworth, 43, and Rashid Gedel, 25 have both been charged with murder and are scheduled to appear in Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, as stated by law enforcement officials.
Watkins, 48, was serving a 29-year sentence at HMP Wakefield, with a further six years to be served on licence, after admitting a string of sex offences which included the tried rape of a very young child.
Watkins was taken into custody following a drugs warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a large number of computers, mobile phones and storage devices were confiscated.
